Gail A. Buckman

Gail Buckman has recently re-joined our professional staff in October of 2006. Formerly, she was Vice President and Controller for a residential home builder in Naples, Florida and made the decision to return to public accounting. She has been in both private and public accounting for eleven years.

Gail graduated in 1994 with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Walsh College in Troy, Michigan and relocated to Marco Island, Florida upon graduation. Currently she is pursuing her Florida CPA designation and completing her Masters of Taxation at Florida Gulf Coast University.

Her concentrated areas of responsibilities are corporate, partnership, and individual taxation.

Qiong (Kim) Chen, CPA

Kim joined our firm on January 1, 1999. She earned her Bachelor of Economics degree in Insurance from Shanghai Economics and Finance University in 1991. She graduated from Old Dominion University in 1999 with a Master of Science degree in Accounting. She is a Florida CPA.

Before joining the firm, she was a graduate research assistant with the accounting department of Old Dominion University.

Currently Kim is responsible for the preparation of individual, corporate, foreign corporate, partnership and non-profit tax returns as well as trust and gift tax returns.

Teresa A. DiSciullo

Terri is a staff accountant in our Marco Island office. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bryant College in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

Terri was a senior accountant for the largest hospital in Rhode Island for nine years before relocating to Florida. She was responsible for cash management, fixed assets, investments, capital projects, financial statement analysis, and preparation of the year-end cost report.

Terri is responsible for the preparation of individual, corporate, partnership and non-profit tax returns. She also assists in quarterly and year-end financial statement preparation and payroll tax reporting for small business clients.

Debora D. Ferris

Debbie Ferris joined our firm as a staff accountant in July 2004. She is an enrolled agent through the Internal Revenue Service. She has almost 15 years experience in public and private accounting. She is currently working on her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Florida Gulf Coast University.

Debbie is responsible for preparation of corporate, partnership, non-profit, individual, and gift tax returns.

Julie R. Franklin

Julie joined our professional staff in June 2007. She graduated Cum Laude from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2003.

Upon graduating Julie worked for a public accounting firm located in Ashtabula Ohio until relocating to Florida. Arriving in Florida Julie took a job heading the accounting department for a newly established retail corporation which grew into a 25 store operation. She was employed by the retail corporation for 2 years before returning back to public accounting to pursue her CPA.

Julie is currently working towards a Masters in Accounting and Taxation from Florida Gulf Coast University.

Laura L. Gelman

Laura has been a staff accountant in our Marco Island office since 1998. She has over 20 years of private and public accounting experience. Her resume includes real estate management companies, accounting firms, and a government security contractor. Laura and her husband owned three retail operations.

Laura’s areas of responsibility include preparation of monthly and annual financial reports for our small business clients and condominium associations. She prepares payroll and sales tax returns and assists in the preparation of the business tax returns. As an Intuit Quickbooks Pro Advisor, she is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and consulting with clients who are using many versions of the software.

Beata T. Sulek

Beata is a staff accountant in the Naples office. She has seven years experience in public accounting. Her main area of expertise is in accounting and auditing for condominium associations. She is also responsible for preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, and non-profit income tax returns as well as payroll tax returns.

As an Intuit Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Beata has extensive knowledge of the software and is able to help clients set up and maintain their accounting systems using QuickBooks. Beata is bilingual; her native language is Polish.
